I heard that the company that made the plush and wire/plastic head, hands, feet (all I could find on the box was Spencer Gifts) talking Freddy, Michael Myers, Jason, Crow, Frank N Furter, etc. was going to be making an Elvira doll like that. Did they drop the idea or does anyone even have a clue what I'm talking about or anything?

I've only seen the talking door knocker on Ebay. It was released a few years back and for some reason, they were damaged in shipment. Only a few ever remain. They usually go for about $50.

Yeah, I've seen that once on Ebay but it was pretty expensive. It's a cool looking piece and I'd love to have one. I went to their website to see if there was anything, but it's under construction.

I'll find out about that next time I talk to Cassandra. I'm making a list of a few things I want to bring up.
As for the door knocker, it might look cool in photos but it's kinda cheesy in person (I have one). It doesn't look much like Elvira, and it only plays one sound "Come in darling, come in. You're bound to have a good time, or my name isn't.... Elvira." It's REALLY loud.

We (okay I ) are desperately in need of a good rendition of her in figure/doll format to put atop our bookcases or computer desks next to our Pinheads and Eric Dravens and G-1 Optimus Primes. Yes...I'm a dork. ;D

Yes...I'm a dork. ;D I'd spend $100 plus for a good 16-20 inch tall Elvira statue with a real cloth dress, or at least soft vinyl dress as long as the costume was identical and her face was identical, basically she'd have to be identical to Elvira, and honestly a sound box inside her saying her trademarks, or something... that'd be awesome. However I doubt anyone will take the time to sculpt a good likeness of her, you'd think they would have after 20+ years.

Have you seen the "topper" for her slot machine? Jeeze this thing from what I've heard is almost 4' tall! I bid on a couple on ebay awhile ago, but they ALWAYS pull the item. From what I've heard, NO ONE is able to get one of these. I would LOVE to have one. And the slot machine as well!
In regard to the likeness of Cass, I haven't seen anything that can capture her likeness. Which is good and also sad. Maybe no one ever will. Sure they come close, but any figure or model, doesn't come close to her beauty. There was a supposed Bust of her on ebay last october. I don't know if it was real or not.
Jeeze, talking to her. What a lucky guy. I would love to meet her. Hopefully one day I will. Here's hoping right?

If you're talking about the life cast, yeah it was real. I haven't a clue where it came from (Some movie I assume, but I can't figure which one. Another on the list of things to ask her next time perhaps Patterson?) and apparently the guy that bought it was quite a jerk when presented with a question or two (right P? ) but I would love to see this mannequin that Patterson was telling me about...he said it looked so much like Cassandra, that he about tripped all over himself and froze in his tracks. He simply had to go into the store and ask the lady working there about it. She thought he was some kind of an obsessed mannequin freak or something...lmao....asking if it was cast after a real person **snickers** wanting to take it home and stroke it vigorously...roflmao...poor, poor stupid girl... ;D

I'm thinking that it maybe from: Alan Quatermain and The Lost City of Gold
Usually when they do a casting in this process it's for making appliances (movie term for making stuff to stick on the actor in a movie) so they don't need the original actor present to make them.
Maybe Haunted Hills? Considering the budget for HH, maybe this had something to do with Cass's arms when they made the prosetic arms when her arms get stretched when she's on the rack and had to go to CGI to make it look proper.
I love that line in HH: "God, look that that rack." Always a keeper.
But my favorate is: "Look, don't call me Darling"

Heh... Well, to make such an extensive piece, they would have needed a reason to have a likeness of her face (it would have been impractical/dangerous for her to do the actual scene) and for the life of me I cannot think of a scene in any of her movies that would have required that. Any other appliances would have involved a simple part cast or body cast. No reason to cast the entire head and neck unless it's coming into play at some point.

I was thinking the same thing, for Allan Quartermain... However Cassandra mentioned that the bust that was made to cast the metal breast plate had dry rotted away (the casting). I don't see why they'd need a casting of her face.... As for Haunted Hills, two prosthetics were made... The stunt double had a bust made so she could lay in for Elvira during the pendulum scenes, however the bust in Cassandra's words "Looked like she had leprosy or something," so Cassandra had to do all those scenes herself. The arms were too cartoonish, she mentioned that they looked like Popeye arms and they ended up doing CGI instead. I really have been itching to find out exactly WHAT that bust that Orlock posted above was used for. I WILL find out. lol Just give me time.

Atta boy. It would be interesting to find out what it was used for. In regards to HH's. Yes Cass did her own stunts ( good for you girl) and was clipped by the pendulm at one point. Luckily she wasn't hurt. Maybe it was for HH's? You would need the entire upper body for this.

There was nothing that required a full bust (head shoulders and chest). As for her doing her own stunts... she actually had a double in the carriage ride where she falls out the side over the wheel, when she fell off the side of the stair case, and when she fell into the grave. If I'm not mistaken everything else was Cassandra.

Well the only thing I can think that a bust of her upper body maybe used for in HH is the scene with the pendulum. It would make sense considering she is lying under the plywood pendulum with it swinging back and forth. Maybe it was intended for a closeup shot when she cuts the ropes with her chest. Maybe it looked as bad as the popeye arms they made. But Cass decided to do the scene herself. She says that she was nicked by the pendulum, but it was only a scratch. Just a shot in the dark I guess.

Just a shot in the dark I guess. She stated that the stunt woman had a rubber bust made on her own to wear for that scene but that the bust looked like it had leprosy so Cassandra used no double and did the entire scene herself. So what I'm trying to say is: That bust was not used in Haunted Hills.
