This could be considered forshadowing... I hope it doesn't bum you guys out too much.
When Cassandra retires would you rather Elvira live on only in comicbook form, or would you like to see Cassandra pick the next actress (an unknown) to play Elvira with Cassandra managing the Elvira empire.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow. I guess it makes sense that this day would come. If Cassandra could find the right woman to keep Elvira going it would be worth a shot. As long as Cassandra was in charge of the character her essence would still be in Elvira. Finding someone petite and curvaceous enough with good comedic timing will be difficult but necessary to be true to the character. Cassandra has difficult stilettos to fill! She really is the total package. I personally would like to see Elvira enter the digital medium. Elvira isn't just a "great set of boobs" it is her voice and her mannerisms. I am not sure comics alone would be mainstream enough to keep Elvira going. I own all of her comics but it is a pain in the butt to find them. I have my local shop special order them. I am sure I am not quite answering the question. I do think it would take more than comics to sustain Elvira but I wouldn't put another actress at the wheel unless she would be capable and committed to our beloved character. Ultimately Cassandra...You have brought years of happiness to all of us so whatever you decide I am sure your fans will have your back!

Well I would personally if she did decide to retire, have a weekly cartoon with Cass as the voice of her own character. No one can replace her as Mistress of the Dark. Sorry, but it just wouldn't be the same. Different person, different personality. Unless it's a clone. I know that this maybe inevitable, but nothing lasts forever. I still would like to meet her in either form and still will continue to collect as many items as I can obtain. I can honestly state that her icon has stayed the test of time with me. Over the years, fads come and go and tastes change. But, I've always stayed true to Elvira and always will continue to do so.

I wish Cassandra would release a really nice Elvira commemorative figure or doll. I love the Electric Tiki Maquette but the action figure from Figures Toy Company was terrible. The dress was nice but the figure did not do Elvira justice at all. Sideshow Toys has put out some really nice horror dolls (Buffy series, Friday the 13th/Nightmare on Elm Street series etc...). I would love to see them produce an Elvira doll. NECA has also done some really nice action figures. I think an Elvira figure would be a great addition to the series.

I think it would be a cool idea to have a reality show to pass the torch on to a new Elvira so that Cassandra and her fans could together chose a woman with the proper talents.

I think they could get away with someone else playing her, only after/if they did a bio of her first with someone playing her, like they did with ED WOOD. Then fans would get a feel for the idea of someone else becoming the figure while she still has control of the empire. It could also open up doors for others who arent yet fans, into becoming fans. But I must agree with what has already been said, its more then her form, its her mannerisms, and timing that makes Elvira.

i really like the idea of Elvira continuing as an animation....because that way its still cassandras voice...and she is still playing the character....I see shows on cartoon network like "the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" and cant help thinkin this would be a great avenue for Elvira!!!...and also it would bring the character to a new audience!
