Patterson,
I knew the show was Movie Macabre when I started this thread. Must have had a memory lapse and just typed in your Web Site Title for Elvira's Show by mistake.
Did not see much activity Sept. 26th on the internet about her 25th, except for the newly released Movie Macabre DVDs.
Thought Cassandra would have mentioned it at her MySpace site.
Unpleasant dreams for Now!

I can't help but wonder what happened this Halloween. Of all years to make a big deal I would think the year of her 25th anniversary would be the one. While releasing Movie Macabre is a REALLY big deal it would seem that an increased presence this year would add to the hype and increase sales. I would imagine that there would have to be a significant profit made to justify additional titles to be released. I personally bought 2 of each DVD. I just knew we would see a return of the lifesize cardboard displays accompanying the DVDs. I am suprised that Fangoria didn't even have an article about her 25th anniversary or an advertisement for Movie Macabre to DVD. They were just briefly mentioned on the Fangoria new DVD release checklist. The month is still young so maybe there are some unrevealed plans but so far I would have to say I am a little disappointed. No news of the Elvira reality show, Halloween special, cartoon, or XBox game and the comic is being canceled. Hopefully these things will come to pass. Unfortunately the corporate world has made things tough for Cassandra over the years. I still can't believe the "The Elvira Show" wasn't picked up.

As far as FANGORIA goes. They did dedicate an episode of their Satellite Radio Show to Elvira on her Birthday, since it fell around one of their Friday shows.
Though I don't know if it was just a dedication or they actually talked about her and her career. They supposedly didn't have any specific topics about her from what I saw on their webpage.
Well at least it was something I guess.
