Dear French Person, I have tried to translate your messages, but you have spelled them wrong, so please, while not many of these people speak french, the blame is partially yours too. next time you post and expect a reply, check your spelling, sincerely, Raven Blackstorm ********Translation***********Translation************Translation**********translation********** Cher French Person, j'ai essayé de traduire vos messages, mais vous les avez orthographiés mal, satisfaites ainsi, alors que pas plusieurs de ces personnes parlent français, le blâme est partiellement à vous la fois trop prochaine que vous signalez et vous attendez à une réponse, contrôlez votre épellation, sincèrement, Raven Blackstorm

BTW, so far, there are 3 Double Features DVDs available for preorder on Amazon. They're priced at $13.49 each. So to get the 140 or so episodes, it'll cost me a little under a grand or only about 63 trips to the blood bank... woohoo!

I received an advance copy of Elvira's Movie Macabre. Wow! I never thought I would ever get a chance to catch some of the old episodes I missed. While the DVD is not perfect (The opening was not a clear transfer) I would still rank it about a 7.5 or 8 out of 10. I am anxious to receive the other episodes on September 19th. The packaging is really nice (including nice artwork on the inside) but the DVD is pretty basic with no extras. It is in the same format as her Box of Horrors set. You can view the film with or without Elvira (Who would watch these without?) Make no mistake! These ARE the classic Movie Mac episodes with all the Elvira spots. I recommend all Elvira fans pre-order these DVDs right away!

Breather, the opening was as clear as the masters that Cassandra owns. All of the episodes she owns the master tapes of. So what you're seeing is as good as it gets.
You also have to remember that the quality of the episodes was minimal at best. This was KHJ TV, not a movie studio. So you'll have poor quality images, foggy/out of focus material at times. In my opinion this just adds to the charm of the original series.

It really does have charm and it definitely takes me back to my childhood and like I said it still is about an 8 out of 10. It is a huge improvement over the reception I used to watch it on television! LOL! We had to buy a circular antenna for the television in my bedroom so that I could record them every Saturday night! I seriously hope Cassandra and Shout Factory release more than these six episodes. I am totally sure I am not alone on this. I would love to see more episodes that I missed and definitely collect a few that were recorded over (don't ask...it still makes me mad! LOL). Some of my personal favorites were PIGS (aka Daddy's Deadly Darling), Monstroid, The Godsend, Bloodbath (I have this DVD but it just isn't the same without Elvira), and of course Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (Go reds GO!). For those of you who haven't pre-ordered your Movie Mac episodes you need to be sure that Devil's Wedding Night is on your to buy list. Eve Smith is hilarious as Elvira's Auntie Virus and the reference to the Oak Ridge Boys song Elvira is a riot. So what are some of your favorite episodes out there?

I am curious about the Movie Mac DVD for Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks. The breather segment was edited out. I am pretty disappointed about this because I always liked his "Sick, stupid, jokes". It was the only thing I really was discouraged about on the DVD. It was kind of akward how the phone rang, Elvira says "Who could that be?" she answers the phone and it immediately goes back to the film. At the end credits it shows breather and gives credit to John Paragon as the Breather. Hmmmmmmm. I hope this is just a fluke and he is not edited out of all the episodes because he is really funny.

Like the Box Of Horrors DVDs? So is that few second pause before the movie starts again when she interrupts still there and when she does her "commercial break" segments? Not that I'm complaining. To have any Movie Mac episodes is great. About the quality. To get these episodes as good as when they were shown on Television is A++++ with me. Also remember they used alot of smoke and the set wasn't in bright light so I don't think they ever were really "Crystal Clear".

Actually, there is no pause between Elvira's clips and the movie so that is a definite plus. What I meant by it is similar to the Box of Horror sets is that is that You have two options on the disc; You can watch the movie with Elvira's segments throughout the movie or you can watch it uninterrupted. Like we are buying these for the films! LOL! I love the smokiness and soft atmosphere of the Movie Mac set. There just seems to have been some sort of interference when the transfer was made. I absolutely feel like these are worth every dollar. Just the fact that these are being released at all is a dream come true!

The only reason the Breather segment might have been cut could (possibly) be on John Paragon allowing his appearance to be used. I know Cassandra and John had a falling out back during Haunted Hills. After all he ditched her not to far into the project and she had to pull up his slack. So there could be, and this is just a guess something behind him not being in the Movie Macabre DVD. I'll ask her next time I get the chance.

It would be a shame if they edited out the Breather (John Paragon) scenes especially since he was in many of the episodes. It would really be lousy if they ever release the 3D episode since he's a big part of that show. They would have to cut out much of that one. Hope it was just a DVD glitch though. You would think if was a rights issue with Paragon they would have edited out the WHOLE SEGMENT and not include Elvira answering the phone and then cutting to the movie.
