If ALL the Breather segments are cut out then it's going to be a huge shame. I know we love Elvira but the shows were supposed to have the "UNCUT" scenes like it says in the PROMO Ads.
Well in the "Frankenstein Castle of Freaks" epsiode Elvira talks a little about the scene that just happened then the phone rings.
Here's Breather's joke... Breather: "What kind of locks do you put on a casket?" Elvira: "Beats me?!" Breather: "Dead Bolts!"

Thank you for clarifying that for me. I knew it seemed odd the way it cut out. Honestly I am hoping that it is just a fluke in my preview copy. I bought it off of ebay thinking it was a preorder so maybe it isn't the final version of the DVD. We'll see. Anyway it still is an awesome DVD. I just really enjoy Breather too

I could have been a bootleg or defected DVD. Well that will be the first dvd I check out when I get them in a couple of weeks. I do own an old blurry copy of "F's Castle of Freaks" with all the segments, but one from the old broadcasts are a better thing to own.

Back in my college days in 82 or, we used to have to twist the rabbit ears to pick up Movie Mac in Madison from Rockford, IL. I have a few episodes on virtually unwatchable Beta -- including Pigs! My favorite, I think, was Mark of the Devil -- an Italian "burn the witches" extravaganza.
I too was under the impression that the Movie Mac segments were lost to the ages. Many thanks to whoever found them. Can't wait for Tuesday!!

They were never lost. Cassandra has had them ever since she left KHJ back when Movie Macabre went off the air. She just couldn't do anything with them until now because she didn't have rights to the movies she was hosting... Now that Shout Factory is licensing the films her segments can be used again.

Well now they can release some of the episodes and we can see it all without fixing the rabbit ears. I was lucky I guess, since I watched a New York cable station when I was a kid that broadcast the Syndicated eps of Movie Mac. Hopefully they sell very well and there are a lot more episodes released to DVD. I'm dying to see if they put out the 3D Show of the movie "The Mad Magician". It would be great to see that slice of 80's schtick. It would be awesome to see Elvira and her two friends leaping off the screen. If you've seen the episode you'll get the joke.

Well I hope everyone is smack dab right in the middle of their very own private Movie Mac episode. If you haven't picked up your copies.....What're ya waitin for? I am disappointed to say that Frankenstein Castle of Freaks has indeed had the Breather segment removed however the quality of the other Movie Mac episodes does appear to much more clear than FCofF. The Elvira segmens on The Devil's Wedding Night in particular look really nice! (Yeah Auntie Virus!) I particularly like that some of the Movie Mac episodes feature the opening in which Elvira Welcomes them "Come in Darling. I won't Bite! and your Bound to have a good time or my name isn't Elvira" Our Movie Mac episodes never opened this way in Oklahoma. Ours always started with Elvira walking down the corridor so the alternate openings on some of the discs were a particular treat for me. Okay Shout! Factory we're ready for 6 more. I personally would like to see Pigs, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, The Godsend, Bloodbath, Monstroid, and of course THE MAD MAGICIAN in 3D. Keep'em comin' So what do you guys think of the new DVD's? I'd love to hear from you.

I watched some of the episodes on DVD myself. I got though 4 of them. It was indeed great to see the original opening, though of the shows had the "no dialog" entrance from Elvira.
Remember that the show was in the 80's, so i'm not suprised that the quality wasn't perfect for every show but better than any bootleg you can find and it's "OFFICIAL".
I did notice some slight edits, especially near the last "HOST" segments. Also I'm going from memory but I thought she always had her second to last segment where she would say the "Exciting conclusion" was coming up to the movie.
But keep them coming and don't stop Elvira and SHoutFactory!!

Yeah I ordered mine from Amazon too. I got 4 this past tuesday and 2 more shipped tuesday. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have all six. So far only one of the movies has reviews about the DVD. Out of 4 people only one mentions Elvira and the other 3 just talk about the movie. It was great to see Auntie Virus in the "Devil's Wedding Night" episode. Too bad on that one Elvira's last host segment was edited before she got to say "Unpleasant Dreams". I have an old shoddy (taped off tv) copy that was part of the syndicated episodes. I noticed that the last segment must have been rerecorded (for syndication) with Elvira telling some of the movies coming up on MM during that time in the 80's. I wonder why the DVD version had to edit Elvira in MID-SPEECH. You would think the Original Aired show wouldn't have need to be edited. I have no real problem as long as we get some Elvira Movie Mac. I hope the next batch of episodes aren't cut, but at least tell us TRUE FANS that Elvira's segments are going to be edited for content.

I'm going to ration out watching these. Been so long there's no reason to burn them all up in one night.
Watched Legacy of Blood last night. Interesting to see how Elvira's character and delivery developed between that and the MOD feature, which I watched the night before to prepare.
Did John Carradine appear in more Movie Macs than anyone?

I think Carradine, Vincent Price and Christopher Lee were in a bunch of Movie Mac shows. They appeared mostley in the first few years of the show. There were a few good films thrown in there with the turkeys.
By the way I've seen better copies of Legacy of Blood on cable than the one that was supposed to be a "New Transfer" on the DVD release.
Also I noticed in Elvira's last segment before "Unpleasant Dreams" there was a quick cut. I wonder what was edited out there of her dialog.

What what really staggers me, is that these films are left completely uncut in the DVD versions... tits, ass and sometimes bush as well... yet Elvira's segments have been trimmed in areas. Really curious...
